A UPS would probably come in handy for me out here in Wyoming ... Turns out that Rocky Mountain Electric does not like to always send a clean electrical signal. Our lights like to dim out every few minutes for just a split second. I do not know much about UPS setups, but if memory does serve me correctly; a UPS will clean the electrical current for me, right?
